A degree in culinary arts can open the doors to many exciting opportunities. A degree in culinary arts can take you to far corners of the globe. Hotels, restaurants and resorts are always looking for experienced and creative cooks to be in charge of their kitchens.
Culinary Arts Schools: Culinary Academy of New York

Culinary Academy of New York has been successfully training students for over sixty years in the culinary and hospitality fields. Today, our primary focus is offering programs that turn ambitious people like you into skilled commercial cooking and hotel and restaurant management employees. We do this by providing you with an environment patterned after commercial installations of the food and hotel industry. We currently are offering:

• 600-hour Commercial Cooking
• 900-hour Commercial Cooking
• Hotel and Restaurant Management

In these programs our training is “performance based” with an emphasis on the skills needed to be successful in the workplace. From the first day of school until graduation, our students are expected to develop as professionals who are ready, able and willing to work in their chosen fields.

Our programs prepare you with “hands-on” training to work in all types of facilities, ranging from small independent operations to large corporations. To help you gain that extra edge, all our programs feature a professional externship to put your knowledge and skills to the test in the real world.

Editors Comments:
Imagine living in the location of your dreams in the Caribbean or in Europe while enjoying full time employment in the food industry. You'll need to be motivated in order to make this dream come true. With the right combination of attitude and the proper education and training wonderful experiences can open up for you. Formal training in the culinary arts at an accredited school can help you to land the best job. This education will also mean thousands of more dollars a year in your paycheck. A restaurant manager with a masters degree can earn up to $10,000 more yearly than someone without a degree.
