In the field of engineering, as in any profession the higher your level of education the higher your salary. It's possible to enter any field with a minimum of schooling, but it may be best if you can, to at least obtain your Bachelors' degree before seeking work.
Master of Science in General Engineering: Kennedy Western University

The General Engineering program at Kennedy-Western University is designed to broaden the student's knowledge in the field of engineering by providing a range of classes relevant to various engineering disciplines. At the Master of Science level, courses may be chosen to complement the student's technical background and focus on a specific area of interest.

Editors Comments:
According to a recent survey by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), almost 30% of their members held a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or computer and electrical engineering. 24% hold a Master's degree in the same fields. Only .5% hold two-year degrees. Some students opt to attend graduate school part time while working and most employers will help you toward your goal of obtaining your Master's degree by offering financial incentives. It's suggested that you keep looking forward towards your goals and researching potential graduate schools early on during your education. Make sure that credits are easily transferred to the graduate school of your choice. Look into the financial aid available to you which
will vary between graduate schools. The National Science Foundation (NSF) awards approximately 1,000 3-year graduate research fellowships and minority graduate research fellowships each year. Make sure that the graduate school you choose focuses on your specific area of engineering and is properly accredited by the Accreditation Board of Engineering Technology (ABET).
